EQUIPMENT

I bring my massage table and customers supply their own towels.

OIL

I use minimal oil for remedial, just a smidge of oil or a beeswax blend.  This is the way everyone is taught remedial in Australia, particularly when doing MFR or Fascia work.  Once the skin and underlying muscle is soft and supple, only then would you do deep tissue with oil.  If people are doing it differently and calling what they do, then they are either doing Indian oil massage, Thai or some other massage tradition.  This is all good if that's what you like, but go to someone who does that, because I find it ineffective.  Or for doing relaxation only massage.

When using oil, I use MCT coconut oil, it's clear, and less heavy than regular coconut oil.  And it is liquid at room temp for Blue Mtns.  In summer, when it's warmer I can use regular coconut oil, but in winter it goes hard at av winter room temp.  Both are edible types.  And nut free.

If it's safe to eat, it's safe for your skin.  Some people have their own hemp, or almond, or olive oil, they want to use.  These can leave a slight stain on white towels.  Dishwashing liquid applied directly and then soaked, will sort it out.

I also have hand and sorbolene cream instead of oil.  And again you can ask me to use your own cream.  I use unscented baby sorbolene or dermaid or or one for sensitive skin.  If you have psioriasis or irritable skin, best use a cream you've used before.

If you don't have towels free where your staying, advise when you book and it's $5 extra per person.
